Youth are a key stakeholder group for achieving holistic climate resilience and the SustainableDevelopment Goals. Youth-led action can make a key contribution to managing climate risks,building the resilience of vulnerable communities, addressing climate-related human mobility,and developing innovative and transformative climate solutions. To harness the fullpotential of youth engagement, it is crucial to empower youth, create an enabling environment,and strengthen collaboration and exchange between youth and other actors. Partnerships and collaborations play a key role for enhancing the engagement of youth inclimate resilience-building. To facilitate and support enhanced engagement of youth in climate and disaster risk management, SLYCAN Trust is initiating a Youth Partnership as part of the Multi-Actor Partnership on Climate and Disaster Risk Management under the Multi-Actor Partnerships on Climate and Disaster Risk Financing and Preparedness in the Context of the InsuResilience Global Partnership. The launch of the Youth Partnership, will be followed by a discussion on the role of youth in climate and disaster risk management for Sri Lanka and the launch of the Global Youth Forum on Climate Change 2022-2023 in Sri Lanka, a global initiative for youth engagement and capacity-building for improved engagement of youth in climate policy and action.
