The "Empowering Youth for Climate Resilience: Addressing Loss and Damage through Climate Migration and Displacement." was conducted as a side event parallel to the COP28 sessions in Dubai, UAE. This event focused on raising awareness and building capacity among youth on climate-induced human mobility, loss, and damage within the climate change context. We aspire to equip young individuals with knowledge and skills, fostering their active engagement in local and global climate resilience efforts. Through this session, we empower youth to voice concerns and propose solutions regarding climate migration. We delve into policy processes, exploring strategies to address youth-focused climate-induced migration and displacement. Join us for meaningful discussions, collaboration promotion, knowledge sharing, and the establishment of mechanisms to monitor progress in youth-led climate resilience initiatives.
Objectives
- Capacity-build youth on climate-induced human mobility, loss and damage in the context of climate change and equip youth with knowledge and skills to engage in local and global climate resilience efforts.
